M&S Douglas reveals new in-store cafe

by isleofman.com 24th May 2017
M&S Douglas has unveiled a new look M&S Cafe, featuring increased seating options, larger floor space and contemporary interior design.

The Cafe is a popular meeting hub in the town centre after originally opening in 2004. Over time, it was facing increased customer demand for additional facilities, which has led to its renovation.

Julie Hodgen, M&S Douglas Store Manager said: “Our M&S Douglas Cafe is consistently busy, with customers struggling to find seating during peak times. We listened to this feedback and when it came time to refurbish the Cafe, our customers’ experience, comfort and concerns were top of mind.”

The M&S Cafe now boasts an additional 600 sq. ft. of floor space and a total of 140 seats. Walls have been removed to make way for new windows, and enhanced lighting has been installed.

The Cafe has been fitted with modern furniture as well as decor – featuring a Mediterranean-influenced design including decorative olive trees.

Julie said: “The new look M&S Cafe is bright, modern and a real uplift for the M&S Douglas store, which is at the heart of the local community here. Most of the renovation work was carried out through the night, to ensure minimal disruption for our loyal customers, and it is a pleasure to finally reveal the changes. I would like to invite everyone in the local area to call in and have a look at our new M&S Cafe."

The Cafe offers a range of superb speciality coffees using exclusive blends from expert roasters. In addition to serving great coffee, the M&S Cafe will serve fantastic pastries and cakes, and a wide range of sandwiches and salads using the finest ingredients.
