Commemorations of Loss to take place in Ramsey

In 2014, Ramsey Town Commissioners and the Ramsey Branch of the Royal British Legion undertook to attend at the Town’s War Memorial on each 100th anniversary of the loss of every Ramsey resident who gave their life during the Great War 1914 - 1918 and place a simple cross in their memory.

The following commemorations will be observed as follows:-

Thursday 1st June, 2017
Bombadier Thomas Arthur Caine - "D" Battery, 86th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery

Wednesday 7th June, 2017
Private Robert Archer - 23rd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment (brother Thomas Archer 31/07/17)

Monday 10th July, 2017
Private John Edward Corlett - 11th Battalion, Border Regiment

Thursday 20th July, 2017
Lance Corporal Arthur Edwin Cannell - "Z" Company, 1st/10th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment)

Friday 28th July, 2017
Lance Corporal Edward Oates - 3rd Battalion, Coldstream Guards

Monday 31st July, 2017
Private Thomas Archer - 1st/7th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment) (Brother Robert Archer 07/06/17)

Private William Percy Kneale - "D" Company, 17th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment)
