Crossroads’ Superhero campaign gets a bank holiday Monday boost!

by isleofman.com 25th May 2017

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s Crossroads’ CEO Jackie Betteridge braving the Zip Wire Challenge down at Bushy’s Beer Tent where she is joined by Chris Thomas MHK, Alfie Cannan MHK,  Kate Beecroft MHK and Miss Isle of Man Contestant Hollie Tovell.

Our fantastic five are braving the challenge Monday 29 May at 10.30am in order to raise money for Crossroads and to raise awareness of our carers’ campaign, Carers Wear Capes.

Many of us will have to give up some time to look after an elderly or frail relative, or a loved one with an illness or disability and it can be an isolating, life changing experience.  Crossroads believe all carers are superheroes and deserve all the support we can give them.

Join us to watch Jackie and her superhero team brave the Zip Wire Challenge from 10.30am this Bank Holiday Monday.  If the excitement of seeing a CEO, three MHK’s and a beauty queen dicing with death aren’t enough then what more excuse do you need other than it’s at Bushy’s!

Help us to celebrate the superheroes in our community by joining in with our themed events this year, visit www.crossroadsiom.org for more details or find us on facebook or if you would like to donate visit jackie’s Just Giving page and give as much as you can:
