Advice for TT Visitors affected by Ben-my-Chree cancellation

by isleofman.com 7th June 2017

Following the cancellation by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company yesterday evening's return service to Heysham caused by forecast weather conditions.

Recognising that there is limited capacity on alternative sailings until Thursday, the Department has expressed its sympathy to the large number of visitors who will be significantly inconvenienced by this and has offered advice and will provide assistance.

In the first instance the Department advises any visitors unfortunately affected by this cancellation to contact their accommodation provider to seek to extend their stay.

The Department has been advised that there is sufficient capacity across a combination of homestay registrations, Snoozebox and local hotel accommodation for any visitors affected by the cancellation.

Any visitors wishing to find alternative accommodation due to weather or travel delays can find assistance from the Isle of Man Welcome Centre for alternative accommodation and advice by calling 01624 686801 and staff from the Welcome Centre and Tourism Team will be on hand in the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal ready to assist.

Additionally visitors will need to contact Isle of Man Steam Packet Reservations on 01624 661661 to make new travel arrangements. The Company is currently making arrangements to schedule an additional sailing departing to Liverpool at 2300hrs on Thursday.
