Law Professor to Consider Island's Brexit Future at UN AGM

On the evening of Wednesday 21 June, the United Nations Association of the Isle of Man will welcome Professor St John Bates, former Clerk of Tynwald and current Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of Strathclyde to talk to the Association at its AGM dinner.  Professor Bates will talk to the Isle of Man's relationship with international bodies and foreign nations, and how these relationships may develop in light of events such as the United Kingdom's referendum to leave the European Union.  Professor Bates recently gave oral evidence to the House of Lords on the position of the Isle of Man and the other Crown Dependencies for the preparation of the report "Brexit: The Crown Dependencies".
