Rotary & Inner Wheel Clubs of Rushen & Western Mann raise funds for charity

by isleofman.com 13th June 2017

The Rotary & Inner Wheel Clubs of Rushen and Western Mann held a cheese and wine charity event at historic ‘Castle Rushen’ in May and raised over ?1,400 for charity.

The 80 guests, gentlemen in black tie and ladies in evening dress, were entertained by the Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band and the Musicale Singers, with the magnificent castle proving to be a splendid venue for the event.

Members of both clubs gave time, effort and enthusiasm to organise the evening and special thanks must go to the support given by the musicians, the singers and the castle events management staff. Thanks also to Isle of Man Creamery for support with the cheese and of course to all the guests for attending.

Both Rotary and Inner Wheel play an active role in community life on the Isle of Man and the valuable funds raised will be used towards the charitable ventures of both clubs.
