Fire Services called to fire at Ashley Hill School

by isleofman.com 21st June 2017

Emergency Services were called out yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 20th June, to reports of smoke in a classroom at Ashley Hill School.

It was quickly established that the smoke had come from an oven.

The minor fire was out on arrival and two firefighters using breathing apparatus removed the contents of the oven before venting the affected classroom to clear it of smoke.

All pupils and staff had been safely evacuated from the school upon hearing the fire alarm prior to the arrival of the Services.
