Consolidation of endoscopy services at Noble’s: Committee to hear oral evidence

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, has decided to investigate the Department of Health and Social Care’s handling of its recent decision to consolidate the Island’s endoscopy services at Noble’s Hospital.

The Committee will be taking public oral evidence in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas at the times, and from the persons, listed below.

Thursday 29th June, 3pm: Dr Andrew Kelsey and other Trustees of the Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital Welfare Fund
Thursday 29th June, 4pm: Mr Leonard Singer
Tuesday 4th July, 11am: Hon Kate Beecroft MHK, Minister for Health and Social Care; and Dr Malcolm Couch, Chief Executive, Department of Health and Social Care

The Members of the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee appointed by Tynwald are Mr David Cretney MLC (chair), Mr David Ashford MHK, and Mr Martyn Perkins MHK.

The evidence will be taken in public; members of the public are welcome to attend. The evidence can also be heard via the “live and listen again” audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.
