A questionnaire to determine the views of Ramsey Town Commissioners’ social housing tenants has indicated overall general satisfaction with the service the Commission provides.
Tenants were asked to consider factors ranging from value for money to quality of repairs and maintenance and from environmental quality to management of antisocial behaviour.
Respondents were invited to enter a free prize draw, which saw Annette and Peter Webster of Cronk Elfin and Elizabeth McKenna of Albert Terrace each win a ?50 voucher redeemable at Ramsey shops and businesses.
Presenting the vouchers, the Commission’s lead member for housing and property Michelle Quayle said: ‘It has been encouraging to learn that overall our tenants are satisfied with the housing service we provide; not only with the properties and their surroundings but also with the Commission’s standard of customer service.
‘The questionnaire has given us a valuable insight into what we do well and what could be improved, all of which will help to shape our future housing strategy.
‘For Ramsey Town Commissioners delivering quality social housing is about far more than bricks and mortar; it’s about providing houses, neighbourhoods and communities people will want to call “home”. Achieving this is very much a team effort and I applaud the efforts of all those in the housing service for their hard work, commitment and courtesy.
‘I am also grateful to the many tenants who generously took the time to complete the questionnaire and congratulate Mr and Mrs Webster and Ms McKenna on becoming the two successful prize draw winners.’
