Microgaming PlayItForward supports Taylorian Productions’ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which opens at the Gaiety Theatre on 7 August 2017.

Following last year’s stage adaptation of Oliver! , Microgaming PlayItForward is backing another highly anticipated Taylorian production, this time a classic family musical. Based on one of the longest-running musicals of all time, with original lyrics and composition by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat comes to the island this summer.

Joseph will feature a cast of 50 company performers, including some of the island’s most talented youngsters. With direction and choreography by Chris Cuming, Joseph and his coat of many colours will grace the Gaiety and have everyone singing along to memorable hit songs including “Any Dream Will Do”, “Close Every Door To Me” and “Those Canaan Days”.

Matt James, Producer for Taylorian Productions, commented: “With less than two months until opening night, we are very busy with rehearsals to ensure we put on a show that will leave you dancing in the aisles. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is one of the most enduring shows of all time, full of unforgettable songs. We can’t wait to showcase the island’s talent and bring this production to the stage!”

Claire Coleman, Head of Microgaming PlayItForward, added: “We are very proud to support the arts on the island. Having witnessed the phenomenal talent we have through sponsoring the production of Oliver! last year, we can’t want to see what is in store for the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I think we’ll be in for another magical show!”

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is on at the Gaiety Theatre from 7 to 19 of August, with evening performances at 7.30pm (excluding Sunday 13 August) and matinees at 2.30pm on Saturday 12 and 19 of August. Tickets are now on sale - call 600555 or visit taylorianproductions.net. Tickets are also available to purchase at the Villa Marina Welcome Centre.
