The Big Beat 2017 charity fundraising event, proudly supported by PokerStars through their Helping Hands programme, has announced the final fundraising total for local charity Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
The Big Beat 2017, a marathon drumming event, saw the group of 6 drummers, Andy James, Steve Leach, Noah Egelnick, Jonny Peacock, Ben O’Hare and Martin Rigby, play for over 53 hours non-stop raising funds for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation. Now that all the pledges and donations have been received, we are pleased to announce that the final fundraising total stands at ?13,504.
Martin Rigby of The Big Beat said: “We are absolutely delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation. The Big Beat is a pleasure to be a part of and on behalf of the whole Big Beat team, Andy, Steve, Noah, Jonny and Ben, I must thank everyone who helped and donated before, during and after the event."
“For a small team, and a unique fundraising event such as this, raising over ?13,000 is an amazing achievement which will go on to help such a worthwhile charity in Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation. The funds they raised has already been put back into the community with more public assess defibs appearing round the Island, thank you Big Beat.”
