The Isle of Man Ambulance Service wants to know what the public thinks about the service it provides.

Feedback forms have been available for people who have used the service to fill in for the past three years.

Now a new and more detailed survey has been launched, along with an online version for the first time.

The number of questions has risen from nine to 30, and these cover a person’s profile as well as a more comprehensive assessment of the service provided by an ambulance crew.

The survey can be completed anonymously and the results will provide an insight into what the service is doing well and where there are areas for improvement.

Acting Chief Ambulance Officer Ray Beattie said: ‘We are always looking at ways to improve the service we provide, and the information gathered from our feedback forms has proved invaluable since they were introduced three years ago.

‘The new questionnaire is much more comprehensive though and is designed to help us better understand the things we are doing well, and highlight where people think we might improve.

‘Copies of the new questionnaire are being sent to patients from this week, and there’ll also be some available in doctors’ waiting rooms, but we’re hoping many people will take the opportunity to fill it in online, at the same time as looking at – and liking – our new Facebook page.’
