Council confirms Bottleneck car park TT festival operator for 2018-2022

by isleofman.com 19th July 2017

Douglas Borough Council has awarded the tender to operate the Bottleneck car park during the TT festival for five years from 2018 to 2022 to The Hooded Ram.

The proposal from the Douglas-based brewery aims ‘to create a festival feel’ and attract a wider audience. The company promises a re-imagining of the leisure and hospitality space, with a diverse entertainment programme and a varied catering offer that will support other local companies and their products and deliver an enhanced customer experience.  Live music, including a ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition, support for local charities, and the championing of local produce in artisan and street food outlets are set to feature in a move to modernise the image of the TT festival and, says Hooded Ram, ‘ensure that the event is executed as effectively as possible.’
