The Cabinet Office has today (Friday August 4, 2017) published the results of the 2017 Isle of Man Social Attitudes Survey reflecting feedback from the public on various aspects of Island life.
This now annual survey sought information and views on a range of issues such as employment, housing, household finances, leisure activities and politic. Question topics included the best and worst things about living in the Isle of Man, confidence in Government, and satisfaction with public services.
The 76-page illustrated document frequently presents this year’s information in comparison with that collected in 2016, and sometimes even compared to information collected in the Quality of Life Surveys in 1991 and in 2002. Some significant differences between age groups and Island regions are also presented.
Commenting on the survey, Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas MHK said: ‘This survey will help to guide the development of Government policy by giving us a clearer picture of what people think about living in the Isle of Man and how they view the performance of Government.’
