Manx Gas has today met with Treasury Minister Alf Cannan MHK to discuss concerns that some customers have raised regarding the current standing charge structure.

After the meeting Manx Gas director Robert Gardner said: "The meeting with the Minister was very constructive. Mr Cannan made a request to Manx Gas to review his findings and respond to him by the end of October with relevant proposals.

"Manx Gas assured him they are continuing to listen to all customer feedback and have committed to carry out a comprehensive review of the standing charge structure and to submit proposals to the Treasury Minister and the Office of Fair Trading."
