His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney joined the Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners Andy Cowie to lead the Town of Ramsey annual Civic Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial, Ramsey.
Mr Cowie commented:
“I was deeply moved by the large number of residents and visitors alike who attended the remembrance service at the court house today. We were especially grateful that the lieutenant governor and his representatives joined us in marking our gratitude and respect for those who served and especially for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us.
The service was extremely well organised and a very moving occasion with round 60 wreaths presented to honour the fallen.
My personal thanks to all those that attended and helped to make the service such a success and in particular the Ramsey town band and all those who marched in the procession.”
