Island's Governor sends anniversary congratulations to The Queen & Duke of Edinburgh

Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney has, on behalf of the Isle of Man, sent the following message to Buckingham Palace to mark today’s 70th wedding anniversary of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

"On behalf of the people of the Isle of Man, including the Isle of Man Government, other members of Tynwald and your Crown Officers, I express to you, Madam, the continued loyalty of the Manx people. We send to you and to his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh our heartfelt congratulations on the 70th Anniversary of your wedding. The Isle of Man joins others in the British Isles and the Commonwealth in recognising the achievement of our Sovereign and His Royal Highness."
