New song in Manx competition

There’s still time to pen a new song in Manx Gaelic and enter the annual Arrane son Mannin competition. The winner of the Manx song competition will be chosen on Saturday 6th January in Peel Masonic Hall, and they will go on to represent the Isle of Man in the Pan-Celtic International Song Contest in Letterkenny, Ireland in April 2018. They will also win a cash prize sponsored by Culture Vannin.

Any genre of music is acceptable, but the song must be new and original and performed in Manx Gaelic. The competition is open to soloists or groups including up to 6 people, and translation and pronunciation assistance can be arranged through organiser and Pan-Celtic delegate, Fiona McArdle.
