Mayor recognises council employees’ long service

The Mayor of Douglas Councillor Debbie Pitts has recognised the long service of six council employees. 30 years long-service certificates were presented to parks chargehand Karl Bridson, personal assistant Karen Higgins and refuse collector William Truesdale and 20 years long-service certificates to foreman arborist Karl Blower, assistant electrical services manager Andrew Butterworth and recycling and bulking up facility supervisor Kevin Erdbeer.

Presenting the certificates the mayor said the employees’ loyalty and commitment were ‘a vital contribution to the continued success of the council’.
