Nedbank Private Wealth & Nedgroup Investments donates hampers to Age Concern Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 13th December 2017

On Tuesday 28 November 2017, staff from Nedbank Private Wealth and Nedgroup Investments handed over 34 luxury Christmas hampers to Age Concern Isle of Man.

Volunteers from both companies gave up their time to make up the hampers. Lynn Kelly, senior training and development executive for Nedbank Private Wealth, co-ordinated the process and the volunteers who wrapped and filled the hampers.  Lynn commented: “Staff have been making Christmas hampers for Age Concern Isle of Man for the past 10 years, and really enjoy getting involved. We know that the hampers often make a huge difference to Christmas for many people, particularly when financial pressures can mean a choice between turning on the heating or spending money on food.”

Helen Southworth and Maureen Cowbourne from Age Concern Isle of Man, and Steve Dawson from Meals on Wheels visited the bank to collect the hampers, which the Meals on Wheels drivers will deliver to the homes of older people in the community. Helen commented that the hampers would be really appreciated by the people receiving them and thanked Lynn and her colleagues for taking the time to do this.

Age Concern Isle of Man aims to build a positive attitude to older people in our community and ensure their voices are heard.  It also provides vital support to older people in times of need.
