Police are currently investigating a serious assault that occurred in the early hours of the morning of Saturday 23rd December 2017.
The assault occurred in the male toilets of the downstairs area of the courthouse nightclub in Douglas.
As a result of the incident a 24 year old male has received serious head injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital. At this time his injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.
Police have arrested a 32 year old male in connection with this assault who has subsequently been released on bail pending further enquiries; however Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this assault or who may have any information to please contact Douglas Police headquarters on 631212.
