Onchan Resident Recognised for Work in Community

by isleofman.com 4th January 2018
The Crosh Pobble Chonnaghyn or Onchan Community Cross Award is awarded every two years to a recipient selected from the numerous people in the Parish of Onchan who have added to the quality of life in the District. The award is in recognition of their publicly spirited work within the Community.

The recipient of the award for the next two years is Mr Hector Duff BEM, TH, MM, in recognition of his outstanding contribution. He is the epitome of selflessness and endeavour in working for the greater good of the community, inspiring young and old alike in ensuring that for generations to come the supreme sacrifice made by those in two World Wars will never be forgotten.

The award will be made at a civic reception hosted by the Onchan District Commissioners in February 2018.
