The Buchan School trials dedicated minibus for pupils

by isleofman.com 12th January 2018

The Buchan School is launching a trial minibus service for pupils this term.

The trial sees the bus leave the TT Grandstand in Douglas at 7.50am, stopping at Albany Road in Douglas and Glen Vine, before arriving at The Buchan at 8.25am.

At home time, the bus departs The Buchan at 3.50pm, going via Glen Vine and Albany Road, arriving at the TT Grandstand at 4.25pm.

Buchan Head Janet Billingsley-Evans said: ‘’This is another way in which the school is evolving to meet the needs of our parents. This service was introduced as a result of feedback from parents and has been welcomed. This is a trial period and I can only imagine it will go from strength to strength to ensure that it meets the needs, as far as practical, of our families around the Island.’

The service will run during term time from Monday to Friday. Parents interested in using the service should contact Bursar John Oatts – bursar@kwc.im – for more information.
