Travel disruption as Storm Emma hits

Bad weather is causing travel disruption on the Isle of Man today.


The Island is under a yellow weather warning due to Storm Emma.   


Severe gale force easterly winds of up to 65mph are hitting – with coastal overtopping expected at high tide; temperatures are only reaching 2 degrees Celsius.  


easyJet has cancelled all incoming and outgoing flights to the Island – affecting routes to Gatwick, Liverpool and Bristol.


Aer Lingus has also cancelled its services to and from Dublin.

The Steam Packet Company cancelled this morning’s sailing to Heysham and the return journey at 2.15pm this afternoon.


A decision on tonight’s 7.45pm sailing will be made by 5.30pm.
