A teacher from the Isle of Man has taken a silver medal in the IFAA European Indoor Archery Championships.

Lesley Sleight competed for England in the competition taking the accolade in the Lady Traditional Reserve Bow Class.

She also secured a World Record performance on day one in the 20 yard PAA round – something she held for two days before a competitor from Germany swooped.

Lesley was also selected for the England team to compete in the Team of Nations – with the country finishing in 6th position.
