Coastguards rescue dog after 120ft fall

by isleofman.com 13th March 2018

Coastguards in Douglas and Ramsey were called into action last night after a dog went over a cliff.

They were asked to help just before 5pm after the animal slipped its lead whilst walking at the Dhoon.

It fell 120ft down the cliff side – coastguards trekked on foot to the site and lowered a cliff technician to locate the dog which was then taken to the vet.

The call out was the 11th for Douglas Coastguard this year.
