Port St Mary Commissioners has a new chairman.

It’s after the board passed a motion of no confidence in former chairman Alan Grace.

At a board meeting on Wednesday Laurence Vaughan Williams was voted in as the new chair.

A statement released by the commissioners says: "Mr Vaughan Williams stated that he would be a safe pair of hands until the Annual General Meeting."

It also said the new chair is calling for "unity" and that it’s "business as usual" in Port St Mary.
