Extending the opening hours at the Manx Museum will provide a 'significant opportunity' to promote the Island's heritage and culture.
That's according to the Enterprise Minister who confirmed in the House of Keys yesterday that the museum will open seven days a week from April 1st.
Laurence Skelly says the one-year trial follows discussions between his department and Manx National Heritage.
Speaking yesterday he said: "This is a significant opportunity to further promote our Island's heritage and culture and is an exciting addition to the programme of events celebrating 2018 Year of our Island."
The change will see the museum open on Sundays between 10am and 5pm – admission remains free.
