by isleofman.com 28th March 2018

People on the Isle of Man are being urged to join in a special run to commemorate the end of the First World War.

The Ramsey branch of the The Royal British Legion are holding a family friendly fun run on June 17th at Mooragh Park.

It's to mark the centenary of the end of the war and to say 'Thank You'.

Organiser Helen Smith says: "The event will start with two minutes silence at 11am to say thank you to a generation who served, sacrificed and changed our world.

"The proceeds from ticket sales and any sponsorship that participants raise will be donated to the Poppy Appeal."
