Peel Coastguard was called into action over the weekend to rescue a vulnerable person.

They assisted the police just before 1am on Sunday morning to search for the person.

The search started at Cains Strand and headed south towards Peel – the person was located and a coastguard officer, using a harness and line, brought them back to safety.
