Douglas has a new Mayor.
Councillor Jonathan Joughin has been appointed to the role for the 2018-2019 municipal year.
Council members voted unanimously at a special private meeting after he was nominated by Councillor Ritchie McNicholl and seconded by Councillor Colin Cain.
Mr Joughin says: "I am pleased and honoured and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the councillors who unanimously voted for me.
"We will be following in the footsteps of a most accomplished holder of the post and will have a busy year ahead of us, but together we will work hard to uphold the high standards of our predecessors and, as Mayor of Douglas, I shall endeavour to represent the town in the best possible way I can."
