The Isle of Man's rate of inflation remained unchanged in March.

As measured by the Consumer Prices Index it stood at 4.4 per cent.

According to statistics released by the Manx Government the most significant contributor to the rate of inflation is transportation costs – they account for 1.6 percentage points of the overall rate.

The cost of petrol and diesel fell slightly over the period.

The cost of eating out continued to rise alongside the cost of rent and heating oil.
