by isleofman.com 9th April 2018

A new production has been commissioned to commemorate the Isle of Man's involvement in the First World War.

For the Fallen focusses on the lives of people at home during the war – it will be staged at Ballakermeen Studio Theatre.

MLC Marlene Hendy is the chair of the Isle of Man Arts Council – she says: "The Arts Council considers the funding of devised drama of this kind to be very important, especially when providing opportunities for our community to be involved.

"In this year when we commemorate the centenary of the end of World War One, bringing our own unique Manx stories about this terrible time to a modern day audience is an essential part of remembering the fallen and those at home who endured loss and hardship."

The production runs from Tuesday, April 24th to Saturday, April 28th – tickets are available here.
