Police are urging dog owners to respect the countryside after a lamb was maimed near Archallagan.

It was only a few hours hold when it was attacked near to the Greenway Road - the lamb did not survive.

Officers say the dog owner has ignored notices on the gates informing them to keep away from livestock.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Peel Police Station.
