Island gets population boost

by isleofman.com 11th April 2018

The Isle of Man's population has grown.

Statistics released in the latest Quarterly Economic Report show the population grew by 300 between October 1st and December 31st.

That's compared to the corresponding period in 2016.

Of the 300 people 130 are aged below 65.

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says: "We always need the robust and reliable official statistics which this quarterly update provides, especially at times like this.

"Not only do they provide the basis for sound public policy but also give confidence to those outside government that challenges are being acknowledged and tackled."
