Motorists are being urged to be 'more responsible' by locking their vehicles.

It follows a spate of incidents where vehicles were taken without the owners' consent.

Police say in all cases they were unlocked and the keys were inside.

Officers say although the Island is a safe place to live we are not immune from opportunistic thieves.
