Investigations are underway after two cat traps were damaged in Poortown in Peel.

The humane devices, which belong to the ManxSPCA, were targeted between 2pm and 8pm yesterday.

The traps were being used to try and capture feral cats on farmland – the animal charity say the cats are ill and they want to collect them to treat them.

Police say the cost to replace the traps will have a 'financial impact' – anyone with information is asked to contact Peel Police Station on 842208.
