Motorists are being urged to drive with more care around 'vulnerable road users'.
Police have issued an appeal saying they've had to speak to drivers who have been overtaking 'in an appropriate manner'.
Officers have also released a picture of a car driving too closely to a horse rider – despite a car coming in the opposite direction.
They say they've also dealt with a cyclist who was nearly hit and runners who have had to jump into hedges to avoid being struck.
In all three cases police say it's only been 'sheer luck' that has prevented someone being injured.
